Unicum is the most idiosyncratic of Hungarian drinks and has been produced by the famously mysterious Zwack family for 225 years. It was made available for the public 50 years later and has been produced in the current location since 1892. The museum allows you to follow through two centuries of Magyar history using Unicum as a lens. The complex liquor is made from 40 herbs and spices imported from around the world. They are personally measured by hand to this day by a member of the Zwack family which is completely bonkers if you think about it. The entrance is 2,000 forints and includes a complimentary tasting session. Depending on your palate you may end up thinking they should have paid you for the pleasure. I like the stuff though. Give it a go.
