Vagelis Hoursoglou is the experienced mural painter behind this piece of work, who has travelled around the world leaving his artistic footprint everywhere he went. This specific piece is a little taster of the grand things this Athenian local has done. Vagelis Hoursoglou is one of the many graduates of the School of Fine Arts in Athen,, who decided to use their talents to decorate the city with powerful paintings. Greece is definitely where most of Vagelis’ (a.k.a Woozy) work can be found, but he has commissioned murals in Brazil, Denmark, Switzerland, China and more. His involvement in the art scene goes beyond creating murals and art. He is also the co-founder of Carpe Diem, a collective of graffiti artists which has been around since 1995 and has published magazines capturing the artistic evolution of Athens throughout its history. I find it always a pleasure to come across his smaller, lesser known graffiti works downtown, which come to show that this man is constantly out on the streets sharing his passion.
