The Kiss of Freedom
From distance, the Kiss of Freedom appears to be a graffiti. However, once you get closer you’ll realise it’s actually a mosaic. With thousands of tiles that feature pictures all associated with the expression of freedom. From pictures of other people, places and events, all oozing creativity and good vibes. All of the snaps were sent in by locals, in response to a request from a local newspaper who asked people to end in pictures which represented a “moment of freedom”. This was a great success with thousands submitting their snaps. These were then printed onto ceramic tiles, and arranged by artist Joan Fontcuberta into this amazing mural depicting two people kissing. Hands down one of my favourite street arts in the city.
