Contrary to what most believe, this isn’t actually the Globe Theatre from which Shakespeare penned his iconic plays. It’s actually a reconstruction that opened it’s doors back in 1997. To be fair, the architects have done a great job in creating that Tudor feels. With the wooden beams and thatched roof and alfresco style round-staged setting. They do still hold plays here, however, I went down for the tour, which was super informative and fun. If you do want to catch a show, make sure to call the box office for more information about what’s on.
