This is one of the oldest surviving churches in Barcelona, with a burial slab indicating its founding date to be around 991AD. It used to be outside of Barcelona City’s walls and thus was given the name camp which means field in Catalan. It’s a place where time has stood still, and stepping inside this church is like walking into a portal and being transported back in time. This place is a great escape from the bustling streets of the Raval. Make sure to take a look at the gorgeous motifs in the monastery, see if you can spot Adam and Eve.
