Although many have spent hours trying to solve this riddle, few know that it was the creation of inventor and Budapest native, Erno Rubik. Rubik was a 29 year old Professor who wanted to create something to help his students understand geometrical design. It was in a Budapest apartment that he began fiddling around with wooden blocks, which eventually morphed into a Rubik’s cube. And the playful characteristic of this object is true for the mural as well. This beautiful piece of art is actually an optical illusion that will leave you baffled. Walk closer towards it and you’ll see the Rubik’s cube is made up of a number of small coloured dots.
