Off the beaten path and scenic like no other, Montjuic hill is one of Barcelona’s most stunning spots, home to a selection of things you have to see. From the magical fountains, Olympic Site, to the stunning Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and Joan Miro foundation and much more. However, I like to come here to stroll through the gardens. Spanning across almost six hectares, these green spaces are home to over 800 different types of cacti and other desert tree species. This place has the most beautiful panorama of the port and the sea. With the contrast between the desertesque scenery and glowing blue backdrop of the sea is a sight worth soaking in. I usually come here to escape and sink my mind into a book for a few hours.
