Mikszáth Kálmán Square

As you keep walking down Baross utca it eventually turns into Reviczky utca and before you know it you are in the cozy surrounds of Mikszath kalman ter. It is a small square full of youngsters and surrounded by coffee shops and restaurants. No afternoon in the Palace Quarter would be complete without stopping to people-watch on Mikszáth Square. It’s a favorite haunt of students from the local universities and there are plenty of colorful characters to see in this idyllic gathering point. Grab a bench and wonder if you haven’t just been parachuted into a Veronese square in northern Italy. Of course if you are in the mood for some more coffee, you can grab a takeaway cup from any of the cafés around before getting sedentary in the square.
