One of my favorite spots to sit and think. I usually come here to relax, and enjoy my morning coffee and sandwich from the nearby bakeries. The shade from the trees is perfect to hide away from the afternoon sun and escape the bustling streets. This is the park where the name of this neighbourhood originates. Here you will find the ancient marble column. It is said that when the city suffered from a plague during the Ottoman occupation, the citizens held a procession to appease the “evil” by raising one of the numerous ancient columns scattered throughout the area.
