Kőleves is one of the most stylish restaurants in town. You can enjoy a drink in their wonderful garden, or even a full meal inside depending on your appetite. The food is out of this world (albeit pricier) and a locally infused clientele of students and intellectuals. It’s a hodgepodge place that teems with life in its “Kert” (garden) during the spring and summer. The “stone soup” restaurant can be on the pricier side if you are looking for a true Budapest deal, but for the quality of the food here I would say that it is cheap if anything. Try one of the stone soups (I mean that is what the restaurant is named for after all) or one of the seasonal Jewish delicacies. There is plenty of other food on the Hungarian, Jewish, Eastern European fusion menu and some of the best wines from around the country.
