Két Szerecen isn’t necessarily a hidden gem, but I somehow never see it on most of the conventional best restaurants in town lists. But it’s on my list, that’s for damn sure. Located on the leafy corridor of Nagymező between Király and Andrássy its the perfect spot to start your day. But make sure you arrive early because they stop serving breakfast at 11 AM! The Peasant breakfast is my favourite and features some amazingly tender mangalica sausage. If you do happen to miss breakfast don’t fret for the lunch and dinner options are beyond reproach. You can’t miss with the Thai Green Curry, Moroccan Lamb shoulder or something more local like Chicken Paprikás. Great service, well lit interior, spacious patio and awesome local wines. Dinner specials rotate daily.
