It is not a big Park by any means, but if you time your trip to perfection you will literally walk uphill and into the sun. There are flowerbeds, benches and walking paths all around. The park is a lovely gathering point to take walks and feels like a hidden gem in the otherwise tourist trafficked Gellért Hill. It’s a beautiful place for locals to hang out and is dotted with interesting and thought provoking statues along every nook and cranny. There is plenty of space for a sunset picnic or to lounge amongst many of the benches to rest and relax. The photographic opportunities are limitless as both the Citadella and the sprawling hill of Buda can be viewed from this serene location. There is a particularly amazing spot to watch sunset.
