Hellenic Parliament

The parliament was actually built in 1843 as the residence of King Otto. When finally the Greek government absolved the monarchy in 1924, Queen Olga became the last monarch to reside in the Old Palace, living here until 1922. After her leave the building was used for a variety of purposes including a hospital in World War II, a shelter for Greek Refugees from Asia Minor, and even a museum for King George I`s artifacts. The Parliament came to be seated in the old palace in 1929.
