Házisárkány Étkezde is a tucked away hidden hole in the wall that only the most local of locals would know about. It’s a terrific little dive of a restaurant surrounded by soviet era block flats at the edge of a park. It is god damned delicious, authentic, fast Hungarian cuisine. A dish here will set you back approximately 750 forints (2.50 Euros). And it’s delicious food. By no means gourmet, but its authentic, Hungarian lunch food. Not the shitty stuff you’ll get at the tourist traps downtown either. I’m taking you to Hazarsarkany not because I’m friends with the owner, Laszlo, but because I want you to get a proper taste of the culture here in Hungary and this is the spot to do it.
