Filmoteca de Catalunya

The National Film Archives have been done so much to help preserve and pioneer cinematography within Catalonia and beyond. The Filmoteca shows films from all over the world, particularly critically acclaimed historical and specialized films that may not otherwise get a showing. They also have educational programs promoting audiovisual culture. I’ve been here a few times to check out the temporary exhibitions and some movies. These are always rotating so I’d check out their website for some more info. The place is also home to La Monroe, a delicious café that does some tasty traditional food with a slight twist, quirky interior design and great wines.
