Fekete Kutya is a laid back drinking den tucked away in a sheltered alcove on Dob utca. Although in the epicentre of Budapest’s party scene, it’s managed to swerve the hoard of tourists and maintain an aura of authenticity. The inside space is small, with about 11 tables in a boxy shaped U of a room. With some outdoor seating, ideal for those late summer nights. The food here is really top-notch, and the drink selection is also on par. They’ve always got at least 5-6 most Czech craft beers on tap. However, Fekete is a place to get adventurous when drinking. I’d recommend trying the lemony Israeli liquor known as Tubi Tubi. They’ve also got a bunch of Slovakian Tatra Tea liquor varieties to try.
