There are places that you think only exists in your dreams and suddenly life puts them in front of you. Espai Joliu is one of those special places. It’s an epic plant concept store with a lovely café tucked away in the back that serves some cracking Barcelona-roasted coffee. Set in an unusual yet majestic post-industrial space with exposed bricks, concrete floors, with recycled materials and lots of plants decorating its charming walls. Although it is primarily a plant shop, they also sell magazines, stationery, ceramics, from firms such as Irina Yudina or Cara Janelle. I usually come her for a coffee, cinammon roll and to get my head down and do some. Just after i’m done mooching around the aisles of plants that is.
