One of my favourite live music venues in London, thanks to the history, size and sound system. Back in the ’60s, it was known as the Ram Jam Club. When the Windrush generation of Caribbean immigrants arrived in England in the late 1940s, many of them settled in Brixton. The RamJam club was one of the places where the young generations– white and black – mingled and shared music. With people enjoying concerts here from icons like Jimi Hendrix. I’ve been to a couple of gigs here before and had a great experience each time. The operation seemed to be well organised with helpful staff and fast service. I’d advise checking their schedule to see what’s on.
