Electric Avenue

Brixton’s Electric Avenue is iconic in so many ways, from being the first street lit by electricity in 1880, to have its name as the title single for a 1983 hit single by Eddy Grant. In the past, it was considered the Oxford Street of South London. Although it can’t claim that accolade anymore, it is still a buzzing centre for commerce. From restaurants, bars and cafes, to music stores, arts, crafts and a market filled with amazing vendors selling all kinds of awesome goods.
