If there was a monument that could be the face for London, it would have to be Big Ben. The Gothic Revival style clock tower has stood out on the London skyline since 1859. The tune Big Ben plays is called Westminster Quarters with different parts played at quarter past, half past, and a quarter to of the hour. The longest version can be heard in the fourth quarter followed by the hour strike. However, this bell ringing has been silenced as the tower undergoes renovations, with the chimes set to return in 2021.
