Benaki Museum

The Benaki Museum is the museum of Greek art, culture & history. They have the most important collection of Cycladic statues, and they also have a section on burial ceremonies that I highly recommend, its super interesting. Visit one of the most beautiful neoclassical buildings in the center of Athens that was actually converted into a museum to house the collection of Antonis Benakis, a greek art collector, who was also the donator of the museum in 1930. The museum originally housed a number of varying art, such as Chinese porcelain, toy exhibitions, Islamic art, which have since been given their own museums in satellite locations, that are all worth a visit.
